World Container Services, LLC (WCS) is the end result of a venture started by its predecessors in 1973 when a group of visionaries acted on the idea of offering second to none container services to the South Florida Shipping Community.
Between 1990 and 2004 services were expanded to incorporate Central and South America. With branches in Costa Rica, Panama, and Ecuador, our management team gained the experience necessary to be part of the globalization transition our industry was going through.
In 2004 this expansion effort, through a joint venture, grew to include US services in Miami, Port Everglades, Tampa, and Manatee in Florida. In 2009 upon the cease of operations of the joint venture, World Container Services, LLC (WCS) was born.
Although the name is new, WCS is the continuation of services that were provided at all the above mentioned ports.
The result is the same team with thirty years servicing the South Florida shipping community.
